How Jova works
We believe in being transparent about our AI: what it can do, how it works, and where its limits are.
Last updated September 2026
Jova is Jojan One's AI compliance advisor. This page explains what Jova is, what data it uses, what it can and cannot do, and the role human judgement plays in every recommendation it makes.
What Jova is
Jova is an AI compliance advisor built on large language model technology, configured for compliance contexts across multiple jurisdictions and connected to your specific business data on the Jojan One platform. Jova is not a separately trained model: its behaviour comes from the instructions, the regulatory knowledge base and the business context it is given on each request.
Jova monitors your compliance data continuously, surfaces issues proactively, answers questions about your compliance position, and provides structured guidance, always citing the source behind its recommendations.
Important: Jova is not legal advice
Jova provides AI-generated guidance based on your business data and applicable regulatory frameworks. It is not a qualified solicitor and its outputs do not constitute legal advice.
For matters requiring legal interpretation, including disputes, regulatory enforcement, or complex transactions, always consult a qualified solicitor registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
What Jova can do
Identify compliance gaps in your documents and policies.
Explain regulatory requirements in plain English.
Provide step-by-step remediation guidance.
Monitor your compliance position continuously.
Cite regulatory sources and guidance documents.
Draft documents from validated templates. Generated documents are marked as drafts for review before use, and are not a warranty that the finished document is legally compliant.
What Jova cannot do
Provide legal advice or act as your legal representative.
Guarantee accuracy for novel or complex legal questions.
Replace professional judgement in high-stakes decisions.
Access real-time regulatory updates. The regulatory knowledge base is updated on a regular cycle rather than continuously.
Represent you in regulatory or legal proceedings.
Data used by Jova
Jova accesses your business profile, uploaded documents, and compliance data within the Jojan One platform. It does not access external data about your business and it does not browse the internet.
Your data is never used to train AI models. We send requests only to model providers whose terms prohibit training on submitted data, and where a request is routed through an aggregator we explicitly refuse providers that collect prompt data for training.
See our Privacy Notice and the Trust Centre for how your data is stored, encrypted and retained.
Human oversight
Jova's outputs are intended to inform and assist human decision-making, not to replace it.
We encourage you to review Jova's recommendations critically, consult the sources it cites, and seek professional advice for complex or high-stakes matters.
